What we collect

When you enquire: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, any order reference you provide, whatever you write in the message, and any photographs, plans or documents you choose to upload.

When you order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and the details of what you ordered, including measurements, product options and any label you gave an opening.

Automatically: standard web analytics about pages visited and where you arrived from, plus technical information such as your IP address and browser details used by our hosting, security and anti-spam services. Analytics is used in aggregate to understand what people are looking for.

We never see your card details. Payment is handled by Stripe on their own pages; your card number is never sent to this site or stored by us.

Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry, to make and deliver your order, to handle a fault or a return, and to keep the tax records we are legally required to keep.

Who else sees it

Only the parties needed to run the site, answer you and complete an order: our hosting and file-storage and anti-spam provider (Cloudflare), payment processor (Stripe), production and order systems, the courier delivering to you, our accounting system, and our team inbox and email systems. Uploaded files are stored with the enquiry and linked from our team inbox so our team can assess what you have asked about. We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

Some of those providers hold data outside New Zealand. Where they do, we use providers with comparable privacy safeguards.

How long we keep it

Order and tax records are kept for seven years, as New Zealand tax law requires. Enquiries that do not become orders are kept while they are useful for following up and then removed. Photographs, plans and documents uploaded through the enquiry form are automatically removed from file storage after 12 months.

Seeing it, fixing it, deleting it

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything wrong. Use the enquiry form. We will respond within 20 working days.

You can ask us to delete your information, and we will, except where we are legally required to keep it - most obviously the tax records above.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics. Your cart is stored in your own browser, not on our servers, so clearing your browser data clears your cart. You can block cookies in your browser; browsing and the enquiry form will still work, but online checkout is disabled if the browser cannot safely retain the cart and payment attempt.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
