Plan and measure your outdoor screen
Start with the structure and fixing method. Your finished opening must suit the chosen Cocha system before taking the final build measurements.
Choose the system
- Straight Drop: straight drop with bottom anchors. Confirm sound fixing points for the top brackets and lower anchors.
- Wire Guided: wire guides with floor or L brackets. Confirm both wires can run clear of obstructions and fix to suitable structure.
- Channel Guided: side channels. Check both sides are straight, plumb and parallel, with room for the channels and bottom bar.
Record the opening
- Measure the width at the top, centre and bottom. Record all three readings.
- Measure the drop at both sides and the centre.
- If the width readings agree, enter that measurement as Width. Enter the drop as Drop. Do not average readings or assume a deduction.
- If readings differ, send the measurements and photos before ordering. We need to confirm how the opening will be prepared.
The standard online range is 500–4500 mm wide and 500–3000 mm drop. Enter whole millimetres. Follow the supplied product instructions for the exact mounting arrangement and final installation allowances.
Confirm the factory details
Record the fabric and its colour, frame colour, straight-drop, wire-guided or channel-guided system, roll direction, top cover and weather strip. For Wire Guided, also choose the bottom wire fittings. Confirm crank side, handle colour and length, allowing enough clearance to turn and remove the handle.
Use the operating side as the viewing reference for left/right. Include a photo if there is any ambiguity. Your screen includes a removable manual crank and ShadeView Classic mesh.
Before fitting
Check every item against the order and read the supplied Cocha installation instructions before drilling or cutting. Choose fixings for the actual substrate and loading. Keep drainage paths clear, check the full travel and follow the operating guidance for wind and weather.
