Magnetic window screens
A slim, made-to-measure insect screen that snaps onto magnetic tape fixed to suitable window joinery. Lift it out to clean, then let it snap back into place.

A good first DIY screen
The installation is straightforward when the opening has a continuous flat mounting face. A standard allowance requires at least 14 mm of flat face on that side. The measuring guide covers narrow faces, sliding-door clearance and added angles.
Pause before ordering if
The opening is not square, a side has very little flat face, or a sliding door passes close behind it.

The overall finished height followed by width in millimetres (H × W), plus the current frame and mesh choices.

Do not enter the glass or daylight opening unless you have first applied the allowance in the measuring guide. Prices include GST and use the current buildable size bands.
Measurements are the build instruction
Made-to-measure screens cannot be returned because the opening was measured incorrectly. Read the measuring guide and use the enquiry form if anything is unusual.
Standard insect mesh (18/14)
The everyday choice for flies and mosquitoes, with the best balance of airflow and a clear view.
Fine / midge mesh (SOL1818)
An 18 × 18 weave for smaller insects such as midges and sandflies. The tighter weave reduces airflow slightly.

Angle for special cases
A plastic angle can create a missing mounting face on a suitable opening. Fit the angle first, measure the opening it creates, and do not add a separate angle offset. Ask before ordering if one is needed.
Common questions
Does it need drilling?
No. The magnetic tape bonds to clean, suitable joinery. Surface preparation and firm pressure are important.
What size do I order?
Order the overall finished screen size. Where a side has at least 14 mm of flat face, start with the smallest daylight measurements and add 13 mm on that side. If an angle is required, fit it first, measure the new opening it creates, and do not add a separate angle offset. Use the full guide for narrow faces and special cases.
Will it fit behind a sliding door?
Only when there is enough clearance from the mounting face to the back of the moving door. Allow approximately 22 mm at the bottom and 8 mm at the top. With less space, do not order this product for that opening.
Can I choose a custom colour?
The configurator shows the current self-serve colour range. Custom colours are not offered unless a selectable custom option and all required colour fields appear there.
Can I return a screen that does not fit?
A screen made correctly to the dimensions supplied cannot be returned for a measuring error. Faults, transit damage and our build errors remain covered by New Zealand consumer law and our returns policy.
